WWW and apex, one certificate
The certificate covers yourdomain.com and www.yourdomain.com together, so the www version of your link can't throw a certificate warning. Both names serve the same redirects.

Why HTTPS matters for a redirect
A redirect is a first impression compressed into a URL. Modern browsers label non-HTTPS pages "Not secure" before the visitor reads a word, search engines treat HTTPS as a ranking signal, and email and social platforms are more cautious about non-HTTPS links. On a for-sale page it's doubled: a buyer who lands on a secure, professional page takes the listing seriously.
WWW redirects, offered by default
Visitors still type www. The dashboard shows you the records for the root and www, the certificate covers both names, and redirects serve on both — so the version you printed on the brochure and the version the customer typed end up in the same place, with the same padlock.
