Once your domain is pointed (see how to point your domain), a redirect takes about a minute to create.
Step 1: Open the redirect form
From the dashboard, click + New redirect. You'll pick one of five types:
- Full Domain Redirect — every request to the domain goes to one target, paths included. Right for rebrands and retired sites.
- URL Redirect — one specific path (like /promo or /spring) goes to a target. Short links live here.
- Branded Redirect — shows the target page under your domain without redirecting.
- Bio Page — a link-in-bio landing page instead of a redirect.
- For Sale — a "this domain is for sale" page with an inquiry form.
Step 2: Set source and target
Choose the source domain, and for a URL Redirect set the path — type a custom slug like spring-sale or generate a random short code. Enter the destination URL, then pick 301 (permanent) or 302 (temporary). Not sure? Choose 302 — it's the reversible option, and you can flip to 301 later from the same screen.
Step 3: Save and test
Save, then open the link in a browser — you should land on the target with no delay. Test with a query string too (?utm_source=test); parameters are forwarded correctly by default.
Useful options once it works
- QR code — every link gets a downloadable one, generated on the fly.
- Stats — per-link clicks with bots separated from humans.
- Schedules, A/B splits, geo and device rules — optional routing you can add any time.
- Pause — stop a link without deleting it.
