Getting a domain live is two steps: add it in the dashboard, then point its DNS at the platform. Everything after that — verification, SSL, redirect serving — happens on its own.
Step 1: Add the domain
Sign in and open Domains. Type the domain you want to forward — an apex like yourbrand.com or a subdomain like go.yourbrand.com — choose a hosting location, and click Add domain. It joins your list immediately, ready for redirects even before DNS is pointed.
Step 2: Create the DNS records
The domain's row shows the exact Points to addresses. At your registrar or DNS host:
- Create an A record for @ (the root) with the IPv4 address shown.
- Create an A record for www with the same address.
- If your DNS supports IPv6, add matching AAAA records for both names.
If your DNS offers a proxy/toggle (like "CDN" or "DNS only"), keep it off — the records need to answer directly.
Step 3: Let the dashboard verify
The dashboard checks your DNS automatically and lights up once the records match. If it doesn't turn green right away, that's usually DNS caching: existing records can take a while to expire from resolvers worldwide (the TTL). New records typically appear within minutes.
What happens next
Once your DNS matches, the platform issues the domain's Let's Encrypt certificate automatically — covering both the root and www — and your redirects, bio pages, and for-sale pages go live over HTTPS. There's nothing to install or renew, ever.
